Subject: VACCINATION AGAINST SEASONAL INFLUENZA AND HINI INFLUENZA.
Ministry of Health of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a workshop, attended by an International Advisory i.e. experts from the Centers of Disease Control, United States and experts from the World Health Organization on the precautionary measures for the prevention of the epidemic in the pilgrimage season this year due to the breaking out of Swine Flu.
2. In this regard all the Hajj Group Organizers are directed to make arrangements for vaccination of their intending pilgrims against seasonal Influenza and Hini Influenza two weeks prior to endorsement of their hajj visas and provide a valid certificate of vaccination to each pilgrim which will be required to be shown to the Saudi authorities at the airports. They will face the consequences in case of failure to comply with these instructions. Ministry of Hajj, K.S.A has also advised that Hajis of the elderly and chronically ill, children and pregnant women may postpone the Hajj pilgrimage this year for their own safety.
